Teachers Orientation program. All the teachers and the staff members reported three days in advance from the winter holiday and attended two days of orientation and one day class preparation. | 22 Mar 2011 | To implement HH The Dalai Lamas wishes and as a follow up measure to EDC resolution, Tibetan Dialectic subject was introduced in our academic curriculum. Besides having one period a week for each class, 7th period is allotted for dialectic period so that every one will get a lions share in practicing dialects under the close supervision of the two subject teachers |

The school observed The World TB Day. The school Health Committee displayed posters and pamphlets on the school notice board. Dr Yangzom and nurse Tsering Paldon from Delek Hospital gave talk on TB symptoms and the treatment to the students and the staff members at the school auditorium in the evening. |

Miss Tenzin Dolma, a Social Science teacher and Mr Tenzin Jigme, a Tibetan teacher attended five days of workshop at The Institute of Buddhist dialectics, Sahra on Tibetan history and how to teach Social Sciences in Tibetan language. |

Annual School Spring Fete was held. Many local parents, guardians, teachers and ex student came to lend support and helped in making this annual event a grand success. English reading activity entitled Project Read was observed beginning from 16th March Apr till the end of August. This is an exercise to acquire reading habit and to bring improvement in their reading skill. Based on draw of lots, minimum 3 students from any class have to come and read before the morning assembly on daily basis for five to ten minutes. |

To help weaker students in their difficult subjects, a group of academically sound students were asked to help the weaker students on a voluntary basis after the evening classes are over. The said peer teaching started from 2nd April till date The duration of the peer teaching was one hour under the direct supervision of school career counselor. Since it is very helpful and effective, we made it a year long program. 56 students are involved in this program. |

Under the initiative and direction of school Health Committee, we observed World Health Day on 7th April 08. Keeping in view the growing cases of substance abuse in our community, it was felt necessary to create awareness and educate our children about the ill effects and risk factors of the substance abuse. To this end, the school organized poster writing competition on various themes like Say No to Drugs, Smoking and Chewing tobacco is injurious to health, Save our mother earth. A brief talk on the importance of keeping good health by the school Health Committee member followed by area cleaning and water tank cleaning in the evening. |

18 Boys were selected for Under 14 Boys Soccer Team. They underwent serious practice under the watchful eyes of Mr Lobsang Norbu for almost two and half month every evening from 4.30 to 5.30. |

To create scientific temperament and interest in Science, a presentation entitled You Think You are the Scientist was introduced /started by Middle School Science Department members during the morning assembly. This said program will take place every Tuesday during the morning assembly for 20 minutes. |

20 girls were selected for school band group. Every evening they are taught how to play flute and beat drum under the watchful eyes of Mr Tsewang, the school band master. |
| 15 Apr 2011 | Based on the students aptitude, skill and interest, 36 different clubs were formed to teach different life skills. The club members will meet for one hour every Saturday in the morning and the average size of the club is reduced to 16 students each so that the respective teachers can give individual attention. At the end of the year, the school will observe Club Day where each club have to put up an exhibition and give presentation on their newly acquitted skill. |

The school Photography Club attended one week workshop every evening on how to develop, print and take pictures in black and white film. Mr Martino and Linda from Italy were the instructor. As a follow up, the school put up a photo exhibition at McleogGang TCV Day School. |

To achieve firm grounding and give a good beginning, The Institute of Buddhist School of Dialect, Dharamsala deputed 16 monks to teach and upgrade Buddhist dialects to our school for one month from 22 Apr to 20 May ( one hour a day every evening). As a follow up measure each class have to compete with other class on every Thursday during the morning assembly and every 7th period. We also conducted inter class dialectic contest for grade VI, VII and VIII . About 482 students were involved in it. |

Every student sat for the test at different venues; Class VI at new hall, Class VIII at old Hall and Class VII at the section assembly ground. |
